Huge congratulations to the team of pupils from The Shoreline Academy who took part in this year鈥檚 Ten Tors challenge.

Supported by staff members Sammie Symons and Chris Cutt-Hammonds, the five pupils came third in the nine miles distance 鈥 much to the delight of Shoreline principal Tessa Claridge.

鈥淲e are incredibly proud of our team鈥 said Tessa.  鈥淭hey had done some practice walks but nothing like the terrain on Dartmoor鈥.

鈥淎ll five pupils worked as a team, helping each other set up their tents on the Friday evening and then supporting each other throughout the walk when it got a bit tough.  Despite experiencing some significant challenges along the way they all looked very happy walking up to the finish line and all of them have put their names down for a longer distance for next year鈥檚 event鈥.

鈥淲e credit their determination, focus and passion for their tremendous effort. A great achievement, well done!
