Exclusions
Exclusions
Exclusions
Pupils are helped to take responsibility for their actions and exclusions will only be used as a last resort.
天美传媒 aims to ensure that:
- The exclusions process is applied fairly and consistently
- The exclusions process is understood by governors, staff, parents and pupils
- To ensure the safety and well-being of all members of the Academy community, and to maintain an appropriate educational environment in which all can learn and succeed
- Pupils do not become NEET (not in education, employment or training)
- To realise the aim of reducing the need to use exclusion as a sanction
We are committed to following all statutory exclusions procedures to ensure that every child receives an education in a safe and caring environment. A decision to exclude a pupil will be taken only:
- In response to serious or persistent breaches of the Trust鈥檚 Positive Behaviour Policy, and
- If allowing the pupil to remain in school would seriously harm the education or welfare of others.
Attendance
Attendance
At 天美传媒 we closely monitor attendance and absence. A child going missing from education is a potential indicator of abuse and neglect, including sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and criminal exploitation including involvement in County Lines. The Designated Safeguarding Lead will monitor absence and take appropriate action including notifying the Local Authority and following local procedures, particularly where children go missing on repeated occasions and/or are missing for periods during the day.
